About This Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, missed classes, and refund requests are handled for programmes offered by Setu Yoga Studio™, including Studio Group Sessions, Live Online Group Yoga, Individual Sessions / Personalized Asana Practice, and Yoga Teacher Training Courses.

This Policy should be read together with Setu Yoga Studio's Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. Where this Policy does not address a specific situation, please contact us directly and we will review your request individually.

General Cancellation Principles

How Setu Yoga Memberships Work

Setu Yoga Studio does not require long-term contracts. Monthly plans run month to month, and quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly plans are available at discounted rates, paid upfront, as published on the relevant programme page. There is no joining fee, and your first class is always free.

As a general principle: if you choose not to use a class, session, or membership period you have already paid for, that unused period is not refunded. If Setu Yoga Studio needs to cancel a scheduled class, session, or programme, you will not lose the service you have paid for — Setu Yoga Studio will extend your membership or validity period, or reschedule your session, rather than issue a cash refund. This distinction applies across all programmes described below.

Beyond these general principles, the specific treatment of cancellations, missed classes, and refunds depends on the programme and plan you have chosen, as set out below.

Studio Group Sessions

Physical Studio Classes (Hafeezpet)

A monthly Group Sessions membership runs month to month. You are free to choose not to renew at the end of a billing period, without any further obligation. There is no penalty for missing individual sessions during an active membership period, and attendance is not formally tracked.

If you choose to stop attending or cancel a monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, or yearly Group Sessions plan before it ends, the unused portion of that period is not refunded. If Setu Yoga Studio needs to cancel a scheduled class or is unable to deliver the programme for a period, Setu Yoga Studio will extend your membership validity accordingly, so that you do not lose the sessions you have paid for.

Online Live Group Yoga

Live Online Group Yoga (Monday–Friday)

Live Online Group Yoga runs Monday to Friday, with two fixed live sessions each day — 6:00–7:00 AM IST and 6:00–7:00 PM IST — delivered live via Zoom or Google Meet, as described on the Live Online Group Yoga page. It is billed monthly.

Because these sessions are live and are not recorded, a session you choose not to attend, or are unable to attend, cannot be replayed or made up within that class. Your membership continues to give you access to both fixed sessions on each remaining weekday of your billing period.

If you choose to cancel your Live Online Group Yoga membership part-way through a billing month, or are unable to join a session because of a problem on your own side (such as your internet connection), the unused portion of that billing period is not refunded. Where a session cannot be delivered because of a problem on Setu Yoga Studio's side, see "Session Cancellations or Changes by Setu Yoga" below — in that situation, your membership validity will be extended rather than refunded in cash.

Personalized Sessions

Individual Sessions and Personalized Asana Practice

Individual Sessions and Personalized Asana Practice are generally easy to reschedule by informing Setu Yoga Studio in advance of your scheduled time. Setu Yoga Studio's website does not currently publish a fixed minimum notice period for rescheduling or cancelling a personalized session.

Because these sessions are individually arranged and custom priced, please contact us as early as possible if you need to change or cancel a scheduled session, and confirm the applicable terms with us directly at the time of booking.

If Setu Yoga Studio needs to cancel a scheduled personalized session, Setu Yoga Studio will reschedule it to another suitable day rather than you losing the session. A cash refund is not automatically provided in this situation.

Yoga Teacher Training Courses

TTC Cancellations and Refunds

The general principles in this Policy also apply to Teacher Training Courses: fees paid for a Teacher Training Course are not refunded simply because a student decides not to continue or does not attend scheduled sessions. If Setu Yoga Studio needs to cancel or postpone a scheduled Teacher Training Course batch, Setu Yoga Studio will offer a suitable alternative date or extension rather than a cash refund.

Setu Yoga Studio's website does not currently publish a specific deposit schedule, cancellation deadline, or refund percentage for Teacher Training Course fees. If you are considering enrolling in a Teacher Training Course, we recommend confirming any such specific terms with us in writing before you enrol.

Session Cancellations or Changes by Setu Yoga

When We Need to Cancel or Change a Session

Setu Yoga Studio may occasionally need to cancel or reschedule a specific class, session, or programme, for reasons such as instructor unavailability or other circumstances outside our routine planning. Where this happens, you will not lose the class or session you have paid for: Setu Yoga Studio will extend the affected membership or validity period (for Group Sessions and Live Online Group Yoga) or reschedule the session to another suitable day (for Personalized Sessions and Teacher Training Courses), rather than issue a cash refund. Setu Yoga Studio will make reasonable efforts to inform affected students as soon as practical.

Where a technical issue outside Setu Yoga Studio's reasonable control — such as a wider internet or platform outage — prevents an online session from being delivered, Setu Yoga Studio will make reasonable efforts to resolve the issue or reschedule the session, but this Policy does not guarantee a specific remedy for such circumstances beyond what is separately agreed with you.

Missed Classes and Membership Extensions

If You Miss a Class

For Studio Group Sessions, there is no penalty for missing individual sessions, and attendance is not tracked. For Live Online Group Yoga, a missed live session cannot be replayed, since sessions are not recorded, but your membership continues to give you access to the remaining scheduled sessions in your billing period.

As set out above, choosing not to attend, or being personally unable to attend (for example, due to illness or travel), does not entitle you to a refund or extension for the unused period. If this applies to you and you would like to discuss your situation, please contact us and we will consider it individually.

Refund Processing

Requesting a Refund

Setu Yoga Studio does not provide refunds for unused periods that a student chooses not to use, as described above. Where Setu Yoga Studio cancels a scheduled class, session, or programme, the remedy is an extension of your membership or validity period, or a rescheduled session, rather than a cash refund.

Where a cash refund is otherwise due — for example, because of a payment error (see "Payment Errors or Duplicate Payments" below) — please contact us at admin@setuyoga.com with your name, the programme or plan you are enrolled in, and the reason for your request. Setu Yoga Studio reviews such requests individually. This website does not currently publish a fixed processing timeframe for refunds. Where a refund is agreed, it is generally returned using the same method as the original payment, where practical.

Payment Errors or Duplicate Payments

Incorrect or Duplicate Charges

If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, have made a duplicate payment, or have completed a payment but your membership or programme access has not been activated, please contact admin@setuyoga.com as soon as possible with details of the payment (such as the date, amount, and payment method used), and we will investigate and correct the issue.

Changes to Programmes or Schedules

Programme and Schedule Changes

Setu Yoga Studio may change class timings, formats, instructors, or discontinue a specific programme for future enrolments, as described in Setu Yoga Studio's Terms & Conditions. Where such a change materially affects a programme you are currently enrolled in, please contact us to discuss the options available to you.
