Curriculum

Eight Core Modules

The 200-Hour TTC covers the full classical yoga spectrum — theory, practice, and therapeutic application. The 500-Hour program revisits and deepens each of these modules at an advanced level.

01
Asana & Alignment

Detailed study of postures, anatomical alignment, modifications and sequencing for diverse student populations including therapeutic adjustments.

02
Pranayama

Classical breathing techniques, their physiological and nervous system effects, contraindications, and integration into class formats and therapy protocols.

03
Dhyana & Meditation

Meditation traditions, guided meditation techniques, Yoga Nidra, and how to lead students into sustained stillness across ability levels.

04
Yoga Philosophy

Study of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Bhagavad Gita, the eight limbs, and their practical application to modern life and yoga instruction.

05
Yoga Therapy Principles

Introduction to therapeutic yoga — protocols for back pain, stress, PCOD, thyroid, diabetes, and common lifestyle conditions. Foundation for the Yoga Therapy Training.

06
Anatomy & Physiology

Functional anatomy for yoga — musculoskeletal, nervous, respiratory, endocrine systems. Understanding the body's response to asana, pranayama, and relaxation.

07
Teaching Methodology

Class planning, verbal cuing, observation, correction, feedback, student management, and how to serve beginners, seniors, and therapeutic students in the same class.

08
Practicum & Assessment

Supervised teaching practice, peer feedback sessions, and final assessment. Certificate of Course Completion awarded on successful completion.

Your Mentor

Guided by Genuine Expertise

Training at Setu Yoga Studio™ is led by Yogacharya Arroju Sreenivasulu — a certified Yoga Chikitsa Acharya, YCB-certified Teacher and Evaluator, and Life Member of the Indian Yoga Association, with 32 years of experience across yoga instruction, therapy, and corporate wellness.

Yogacharya Arroju Sreenivasulu
Consultant Yoga Therapist & Trainer · 32 Years Experience
His approach to teacher training is rooted in the principle that a teacher can only give what they genuinely understand. The TTC is not a curriculum to memorise — it is a transmission of practice. Trainees are expected to develop their own practice deeply before they begin guiding others. Every module is taught with clinical precision and classical authenticity.

Who Should Join

Is This Program Right for You?

These programs are suited for a wide range of students — from those entering yoga professionally to those who simply want a deeper, more structured engagement with the practice.

  • Yoga practitioners wanting to deepen their own practice and eventually share it with others.
  • Healthcare and wellness professionals — physiotherapists, doctors, nutritionists — wanting to integrate yoga therapeutics into their clinical work.
  • Those seeking a career transition into yoga teaching, studio instruction, or yoga therapy practice.
  • Studio practitioners who want personalised, mentored training — not a large institutional program with minimal instructor contact.
  • Teachers already certified elsewhere who want to deepen their philosophical and therapeutic foundation through the 500-Hour or Yoga Therapy Training.

Student Experiences

From Practitioners to Teachers

"I joined expecting to learn how to teach poses. What I actually got was a complete re-understanding of yoga — from breath to philosophy to the nature of the mind. The Yogacharya's depth of knowledge is unlike anything I encountered at other TTC programs."

Kavitha S.
200-Hour TTC graduate · Now teaching in Hyderabad

"I am a physiotherapist. The Yoga Therapy Training completely changed how I work with patients. The Yogacharya's understanding of how specific pranayama and asana sequences interact with the endocrine and nervous system is clinical-grade — this is not wellness fluff."

Dr. Arun R.
Yoga Therapy Training · Physiotherapist, Miyapur

Program Disclosure

About the Certificate

These are independent programs — not institutionally affiliated with IYA, YCB, or other governing bodies for registration or certification. Participants receive a Course Completion Certificate on successful completion.

A Note on Certification

The value of this training lies in the quality of instruction and the depth of curriculum — not in registry membership. You will leave with a genuine understanding of yoga as a classical, therapeutic, and philosophical system, and the ability to teach it with integrity.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick Answers

What yoga teacher training programs are available at Setu Yoga Studio™?
Three programs: (1) 200-Hour Yoga TTC — foundational, covering all core disciplines; (2) 500-Hour Advanced TTC — for 200-Hour graduates wanting deeper mastery; (3) Yoga Therapy Training — specialised clinical application of yoga for specific health conditions. All programs are guided by certified Yoga Chikitsa Acharya Arroju Sreenivasulu.
Is the TTC certificate recognised or accredited?
Setu Yoga Studio™ conducts independent training programs — not institutionally affiliated with IYA or YCB for certification. Participants receive a Course Completion Certificate on successful completion. The training is guided by a Yoga Chikitsa Acharya with 32 years of experience and IYA/YCB credentials.
How long does the 200-Hour TTC take to complete?
Duration depends on the schedule agreed with your mentor. Typically 3–6 months with regular sessions, or a more intensive schedule. Both studio-based and online formats are available. Contact us on WhatsApp at +91 72077 47744 to discuss the schedule that suits your availability.
Can beginners join the yoga teacher training?
Yes. While some prior yoga practice is helpful, the 200-Hour TTC builds from foundations. There is no minimum experience requirement. Those attending to deepen their own practice — not necessarily to teach immediately — are equally welcome.
Is online yoga teacher training available?
Yes. Both online and studio-based formats are available. Online training uses live video sessions and covers the same full curriculum. Philosophy, Pranayama theory, Yoga Therapy principles, and Teaching Methodology are particularly well-suited to online delivery.
What is the difference between the 200-Hour and 500-Hour TTC?
The 200-Hour TTC is the foundational program — all core disciplines to prepare you to teach general yoga classes. The 500-Hour TTC deepens Philosophy, Pranayama, Yoga Therapy clinical application, and advanced teaching methodology. The 500-Hour is for those who have completed 200 hours and want to teach at a more therapeutic or advanced level.
What is the Yoga Therapy Training and who is it for?
Yoga Therapy Training (Yoga Chikitsa) is a specialised program in the clinical application of yoga for specific health conditions — back pain, PCOD/PCOS, diabetes, thyroid, stress, and weight management. It is designed for yoga teachers wanting to work therapeutically, healthcare professionals integrating yoga into practice, and practitioners seeking a thorough understanding of yoga chikitsa. Guided by Yoga Chikitsa Acharya Arroju Sreenivasulu (IYA/YCA/75).
